  • ORS and AIRWays Maintenance

    As part of the TIDE rollover for the new year, ORS and AIRWays will be unavailable during the day on September 18th, 2019. Please proceed with any instructions received regarding new TIDE accounts for the 2019-2020 school year. Beginning September 19th, 2019, you will be able to log into ORS and AIRWays with your new TIDE credentials.

  • TIDE Accounts for 2019-2020

    In preparation for the 2019-2020 school year, please be aware that all passwords will be reset on September 18, 2019. Users must request a new password for the school year on the Login Page. For more detailed instructions on logging into TIDE, please refer to the TIDE User Guide.

  • 2019-2020 Secure Browser Now Available!

    The secure browsers for the 2019-2020 school year are now available for download. Please refer to the secure browsers page and the technical manuals resources page for help with downloading browsers and configuring your system for testing. Please note that the new version of the secure browser is required for all 2019-2020 online test administrations. Previous versions will no longer be supported.

  • In preparation for the upcoming school year, TIDE will be down for maintenance until September 18. Users with an active TIDE account may still access ORS and AIRWays for student reports, but new users will not be able to be added or updated until September 18. Thank you for understanding.

  • Chrome Version 72 Now Supported

    Google released a new dot version of ChromeOS v72, version 72.0.3626.119. AIR has confirmed this version resolved the previously identified issue that prevented users from accessing AIR testing sites. If your school had already upgraded to v72, please ensure you upgrade to this or a later dot version of 72. If your school has not upgraded to v72, you may do so at your discretion, ensuring you upgrade to this or a later dot version of 72.

  • Chrome Version 72 – Unable to Access AIR Testing Sites

    Google released a new Chrome version on Friday and AIR has identified an issue with Chrome version 72 that prevents users from accessing AIR testing sites. Google and AIR are currently working on a fix. Chromebooks on ChromeOS v71 or earlier are not affected. If you are on a version of ChromeOS earlier than 72, do not upgrade your devices to ChromeOS v72. It is also recommended that you turn off auto-updates to prevent this upgrade before a fix is identified.

    If your district has already upgraded devices to Chrome version 72, another platform will need to be used to test until a fix is released. Once the fix is released by Google and AIR confirms that this issue is resolved, we will post notification that users may upgrade to 72.

  • Reminder: Update Secure Browser for MacOS

    This is a reminder that support for the MacOS Secure Browser 10.4 will be discontinued after Friday, December 28. Please download and update your secure browser if you are using a MacOS device.

  • New Secure Browser for MacOS (Action Required)

    The new Secure Browser for MacOS is now available. Please download and update your secure browser. All users with devices running MacOS must update to the new Secure Browser 10.6. Support for the current Secure Browser 10.4 will be discontinued after Friday, December 28.

  • New Secure Browser for MacOS (Action Required)

    A security issue was found during the testing of the latest version of MacOS 10.14 (Mojave) and MacOS 10.13 (High Sierra). All users with devices running MacOS must update to the new Secure Browser 10.6, which will be available for download on December 3.This new browser will be required for all versions of MacOS that are currently supported (10.9+) and support for the current Secure Browser 10.4 will be discontinued after Friday, December 28.

  • TIDE is now live for the 2018-2019 school year. All the DC, SC, TA, and TE users from last year should reach out to their District Administrators to be added to TIDE.

    Once added to TIDE, all the users have to take the TA certification course to administer Smarter Balanced assessments.

  • The Windows, Mac, iOS, and Chrome Secure Browsers for the 2018 - 2019 school year are now available. The respective Secure Browser is required for all 2018 - 2019 online test administrations. Please download desktop operating system Secure Browsers from the portal. Mobile operating system Secure Browsers are available in the App Store, Google Play Store, or Chrome Web Store. Secure Browsers downloaded from previous years are not applicable for this school year.

  • TIDE is down for maintenance and will be opened for full functionality for the 2018-2019 school year on August 21, 2018. New users can be added to the system after this date.

  • A grayscale version of the 2018-2019 MT Smarter Balanced Interpretive Guide has been added to the System & Test Administrators Resources in the Summative folder within the Smarter Balanced Tests folder. This new version is available for use in addition to the regular color version.

  • Please remember that it is required to administer the Smarter Balanced Summative Assessments during the testing window. Both the Computer Adaptive Test and Performance Task in ELA and Mathematics have to be completed by May 25, 2018.

  • The Smarter Balanced Test Administration Manual has been updated to address a discrepancy in regard to test expiration times. The Performance Task expires after 20 days. The Computer Adaptive Test expires after 45 days.

  • Online Reporting System (ORS) will be down for maintenance from March 15 to March 18, 2018 in preparation for the summative test administration. ORS will re-open on Monday, March 19, 2018. Please refer to the Important Dates page of the portal for the summative reporting schedule.

  • Schools that use Mac computers running Mac OS 10.13 (High Sierra) will need to download a new secure browser made specifically for that version. The secure browser is now available for download on the Secure Browser page of the portal. It must be installed on each computer that runs Mac OS 10.13 in order to take Smarter Balanced Summative and Interim Assessments.

  • As of January 8, 2018, Chrome OS 59 is no longer supported by AIR. Schools that use Chromebooks for Smarter Balanced Interim and Summative testing should upgrade to Chrome OS 60 or later.

  • To the schools that utilize Apple iPads, please be advised that iOS 11 is now blocked. Please upgrade to the new iOS 11.1 to continue testing. In addition,  to the schools that use Apple Macbooks, please be informed that Mac OS 10.13 (High Sierra) is blocked and no longer supported due to technical difficulties during testing with text-to-speech and audio.

  • Due to a security concern with iOS 11 and for mac OS 10.13 High Sierra, it is recommended that schools avoid using machines with these operating systems for secure testing. These security concerns are anticipated to be corrected with the next release of the operating systems and secure browser updates. Please contact the MontCAS Help Desk if you have any questions regarding the secure browser.

  • All online systems are now live and ready for optional interim testing.  User passwords and security questions from last year were reset on October 16, 2017. Please set up a new password for 2017-2018 school year at https://mp.sso.airast.org.

  • TIDE, Practice Test Administration, THSS, AIR Ways Reporting, and ORS will be down for maintenance starting on October 11, 2017. For the 2017-2018 school year, TIDE will open on October 17, 2017 and the rest of the online systems will open on October 23, 2017.

  • The Important Dates table has been updated for the 2017-2018 school year. In preparation for the new school year, all systems will be down starting on October 11. Full functionality of TIDE will be available starting on October 17, 2017. New users can be added to the system after this date.

  • The Test Administrator Certification is required to administer Smarter Balanced assessments.  If districts are planning to do the training as a group, each user should  log into their own account and complete the certification.  The system will then automatically update the status to “TA Certified” and the user will  be able to administer assessments.

  • The reopening of TIDE has been delayed due to importing data into the system. This data synchronization is expected to be complete by the end of the day. The TIDE portal card will become available as soon as the system is ready for use.

  • TIDE will be offline from Tuesday, September 12 and will reopen on Monday, September 19. During this downtime, TIDE will be refreshed for the 2016-2017 school year. This refresh includes a TIDE interface redesign but functionality will remain the same. User accounts will be rolled over from the 2015-2016 school year and users will receive a reactivation email. If it hasn’t already been done, old user accounts for personnel no longer at the school will need to be deleted.
